Opportunity Description

Title of Research Opportunity: Software Defined Radio Researcher Located at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) is the Army's central laboratory. Its diverse assortment of unique facilities and dedicated workforce of government and private sector partners make up the largest source of world-class integrated research and analysis in the Army. The Guidance Technology Branch of the US Army Research Laboratory is looking for candidates who are pursuing or have completed their PhD in electrical engineering or related discipline to perform research in the area of localization for mobile wireless networks. There are many possible avenues of research including, but not limited to, two-way ranging, angle of arrival, synchronization, and time difference of arrival. The localization characteristics of specific modulation methods may also be of interest. Theoretical results will be experimentally verified in hardware using software-defined radio platforms.
