Study and development of advanced semiconductor materials for infrared and electronic applications The study and development of thin film semiconductor materials for numerous applications, including infrared and power generation, are of great interest to the Army Research Laboratory. Research related to material growth, characterization, and modeling to device design, processing, testing, and modeling can be supported. Specific opportunites exist for research related to Hg based compounds as well as the study of dislocation formation and mitigation due to large lattice mismatch epitaxy.
