Qualified candidates should have completed their BS or MS in the desired disciplines within the past five years. This is a twelve month research appointment with the option to be renewed for additional appointment terms. This opportunity includes, but is not limited to, the following: The U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, Strategic Science Management Office (SSMO) provides an opportunity for postgraduates to participate in programs, projects, and activities for Science and Technology (S&T) program analysis that support the mission of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC). Participants will gain insight into USARIEM’s role in the creation and implementation of military operational medical research objectives, projects and product transitions that contribute to optimizing and sustaining Soldier health and performance across the range of military operations. The Intern will apply their scientific and technical expertise to assisting with 1) Researching and cataloging USARIEM human performance optimization research programs (current, near to mid-term), 2) Preparation of S&T management briefings, 3) Performing literature searches, 4) Development of databases for managing S&T knowledge product transitions, and 5) Writing of White Papers, etc. Participants will become part of a group of highly-trained scientists with the education, background, and experience to be part of the workforce that supports the USAMRMC mission in the future.
