Opportunity Description

Title of Research Opportunity: Development of III-Nitride Near Ultraviolet VECSEL This Research Opportunity involves metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) growth, fabrication, and characterization of III-Nitride vertical external cavity surface emitting laser (VECSEL). The post-doctoral researcher will have an opportunity to design and grow a VECSEL gain chip using MOCVD and lead an effort in fabricating the device. The candidate must have a fundamental understanding of epitaxial growth and semiconductor laser operation with hands-on experience in epitaxial growth and device fabrication in sub-1000 class cleanroom environment.
