Opportunity Description

Catalytic conversion enables a new Army capability to forage energy from indigenous environment. Toward this goal, two-dimensional (2D) catalysts are promising materials with tunable physical and chemical properties for hydrocarbon upgrade and energy extraction. The successful candidate will conduct basic research on the development of such materials for catalytic processes. Ideal candidate would have previous experience with materials synthesis in particular 2D materials and with materials characterization including transmission electron microscopy (TEM), spectroscopy and other sold state analytical tools.
